50501 Houston Response to Trump's Onslaught into Los Angeles

On May 25th, 150 refugees of Vietnamese and Lao descent were deported from Houston by ICE without any due process, but arbitrarily based on court records, regardless of prior adjudication and disposed case status in Houston.

On June 5th, 9-year-old Martir Garcia Lara, an elementary school student of Torrance Elementary School, was detained and separated from his father after attending a scheduled immigration court appointment in Houston. It is planned for Martir Garcia Lara to be deported to Honduras, still separated from his father and absolutely no support.

On June 6th, ICE raids began in Los Angeles. One in particular, again targeted an elementary school graduation, where parents were identified, targeted, chased, trapped, and abducted. Children were without guardians and again, Los Angeles educators and residents are left to care for them.

On June 7th, an onslaught of 2,000 National Guard to Los Angeles were released. They were sent to aid ICE raids, forcing people to be blocked, trapped in their cars, arrested and detained. They were wrongly judged as being involved with protesting and instead, ICE utilized this as an opportunity to forcefully remove citizens and incite violence.

Today June 8th, Governor Gavin Newsom of California released a press statement for National Guard to be removed from California. Trump's administration responded by requesting 500 Marines put on deployment notice.

President Donald Trump, using ICE as his personal army, is again purposefully abusing National resources such as National Guard and Marines for his personal gain and control. This has never been about America or national safety. It is about spinning the narrative of “violence” to subdue and control by corruptive force.

The reality is these above circumstances are a part of the continuing proof that Trump's administration is a direct threat to all populations and directly to Houstonians. There is no concern for human life. There is no protection. Trump's administration is intentionally harming, fueling one crisis after another, and destroying any form of peace and security. This is Trump's violent agenda against humankind.

In solidarity for all human beings, us Houstonians will be protesting on June 14th at Houston City Hall at 10 AM.

Free People Do Not Bow.
